For over 30 years he had professional business experience as general manager of international enterprises;
Around 1955 Willy Augustat had the first contact with Leobrand (Leopold Brandstaetter, 1915-1968, Austria) his spiritual teacher who was chosen by Madame I. Roerich in the late 40ies of last century to become a co-worker for certain responsibilities adding groundwork in the completion of Agni Yoga basic elements Leobrand initiated a several central AY groups and introduction seminars in Living Ethics in major German cities till 1968 and published literature introducing and explaining the Agni Yoga (36 lessons) Meanwhile he was studying diverse cultures (mentalities, religious basics and international cultural understanding) and started activities as President of a non-public spiritual institution (school).
He had long-term function in various spiritual and/or culturally oriented international associations focussed primarily on Ethics, located in Germany and Austria, seeking for structures of social order and justice in politics and economy, concepts for solutions based on an ethical and pragmatic approach.
Co-organizer of numerous international conferences and congresses (in the Russian Federation incl. Chechnya and Crimea, Ukraine, India, Turkey, Egypt, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, the Baltic countries,) mostly connected with subjects such as Ethics, Peace-making, social and political harmonization and related issues.
Since 1991 President of the international (EUROPEAN) association „PEACE THROUGH CULTURE“ (Vice President of the international (Russian and beyond) association) – with networks over middle Europe (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Baltic countries, and others. In this function organizing the international world conference in Almaty in 1992 “Towards Spiritual Concord” and co-organizing the “World Forum of Spiritual Concord” in Astana in 2010 – and various other international events with similar targets.
Willy Augustat retired from his function as President of the named association in 2019 and is presently Honorary Member of this Association in action.
