From 2018 Egor Turley has been serving as the academic secretary of the Scientific Council of the National (Russian) Roerich Committee (NRC), which he was one of the 24 founding members of. His responsibility relates to the promotion of scientific and cultural projects and initiatives based on the fundamental principles of the Treaty on the Protection of Artistic and Scientific Institutions and Historical Monuments (Roerich Pact), both in Russia and the world.

To this end, consolidation of culture in the life of society through the realization of the spiritual, moral, peacemaking, cultural, artistic, philosophical and scientific potential of the Roerich family’s legacy is largely sought for in his and his organization’s work.

In parallel to his major volunteering engagement, Egor Turley takes part in various cultural activities that have to do with ethnography and ethnology, organizational support of NGOs and charities.

In his capacity of an open innovations manager, from 2012 Egor Turley has been sourcing innovative technologies and materials for a renowned multinational electronics, chemicals and telecom corporation.

In 2008-2011, Egor Turley helped the Executive Office of the Russian Civic Chamber to maintain liaison with international NGOs, public institutions, political and public figures.

Before that, right after obtaining his PhD in Biophysics in 2006, he conducted scientific research, taught students, provided support to interdisciplinary and/or international research projects at Lomonosov Moscow State University. Ever since his work was related to international activities, which was also reinforced with another master’s degree with honors he obtained in 2010, this time from Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
