Listening to National Public Radio in USA, three high school students from Maryland were being interviewed. They have printed a magazine that gives voice to the various opinions of their peers. They believe every voice and story needs to be heard otherwise how do we move through this time of polarization; how do we heal?
They shared that we live in a liminal time. No longer in a familiar culture and not yet in the culture that is emerging. Liminal. Between here and there. They want to heal, and build, the world that works for everyone!
Reflecting, I found myself in the field of the upcoming conference: Towards a Planetary Renaissance: Revealing Paths of Beauty. What does it mean to Walk the Path of Beauty? Plato said, “Beauty will save the world.” How?
Prior to the last Renaissance, there was beauty on the planet in the form of pyramids, temples, cathedrals, rock formations, cave art and more. During the Renaissance, names became associated with the revealing of Beauty: Michelangelo, Rembrandt, and so many more! This begs the question, how does this next Renaissance serve group awareness beyond individualization?
Perhaps, as we gather in the prepared field, we will realize that we as a world group serve to reveal beauty through our thoughts, words, feelings and actions. Just as the high school students reflected as they compiled the magazine. Perhaps it is the Livingness of Beauty that will emerge as the Planetary Renaissance in the Aquarian Age.
Perhaps this then is what Plato referred to, and is aligned with “You cannot create Beauty, however, you can reveal it.”
“Bless us into Usefulness, Lest We Pass Thy Labor,” is well-known in Agni Yoga. This is my offering as we continue to seed the field of this timely and needed gathering on the world stage.
Hope to see you in December and all best wishes as the journey continues!
