There is a phrase in the spiritual teachings that powerfully yet synthetically describes this period into which we are now entering; this period of the Aquarian age in combination with the inpouring of a new ray energy, the energy of the seventh Ray of Ceremonial Order and Magic.
It states that “When the sun progresses into the mansion of the serving man, the way of life takes the place of the way of work.”
It’s a very simple phrase. “When the sun progresses into the mansion of the serving man” relates to the fact that when the sun progresses into the sign of Aquarius, which is the sign of the serving man, the man carrying the water pot pouring forth the life-giving waters will become the way of many.
When the sun progresses into this mansion, which means “house” astrologically speaking, is the reference is to the eleventh house, the house that is archetypally related to Aquarius. This is the house of group work. The passage states, therefore, that as we enter into Aquarius, the way of life will take the place of the way of work.
The Aquarian age will, therefore, be related essentially to “life” itself, to that which underlies and unifies all things and is poured forth to all and sundry.
“Life” is indicative of the initiate consciousness which as a result of the evolutionary process, will have enabled a sufficient number of the human kingdom to move beyond the complexities of the discipleship path and into the simplicity of that which is the next step. This level of consciousness will have essentiality at its core.
Then the path will become clear and we will then no longer see “through a glass darkly,” trapped in the insidious nature of the glamours and illusions which condition life in the three worlds – the mental, emotional and etheric/physical planes of consciousness. We will move instead into that expanded awareness that senses and is, life itself – the life that thrills through all things. Every aspect of life will eventually come to be understood as a vehicle for the expression of this inner divinity.
The ageless wisdom points to the fact that divinity lies veiled within a multiplicity of forms and that it is within the simplicity of forms that divinity will be revealed. Hence the need for us, somehow, amidst the clutter of contemporary life with its distractions, to pierce beneath that surface fragmentation and into a recognition of the divinity which substands it all.
As we truly recognise the divinity which substands all, we become the way of life in true oneness with our essential divinity.
