May is a sustainability educator, spatial planner and social innovator. Designated one of the 100 Global SustainAbility Leaders three years in a row, her work spans the fields of cultural geography, urban ecology, and women’s studies. As CEO of Gaia Education, she leads a whole generation of sustainability educators delivering capacity building activities in 49 countries in both urban and rural contexts. May is a UNITAR Fellow and has an MSc in Spatial Planning with specialisation in the rehabilitation of abandoned villages.
