The “space” we live in – intended as both the Universe and the planetary system of relations or globalisation – has been steadily expanding at a fast pace since ever, thus stimulating the expansion of the consciousness of individuals trying to comprehend it. Whereas it may be simply impossible as individuals to inhabit that growing space without a sense of bewilderment and loss of identity, indeed it could be possible as a group, by trying to forge group understanding and group consciousness. Human consciousness has properties and potential, which we are only partially aware of, yet fully responsible and accountable for. The shift from individual to group consciousness is one of them. While constituting a major challenge, it is an opportunity of unimaginable potential. It is a “Copernican Revolution” which makes us co-creative agents of the future of humanity and the planet in cooperation with the other kingdoms of nature.
