Humanity: co-creative, living, loving willing soul

Five gentlemen who lived at the same epoch on earth, but did not all meet in person (except perhaps through their publications) are imagined to hold a conversation.

The first is an architect, the second a mathematician, the third a neurologist, pioneer in humanistic psychology, and the fourth a palaeontologist, Jesuit priest (in search of the signature of the Divine in nature) and the fifth an Indian philosopher, 1913 Nobel prize in literature winner. Little do they suspect that they will be joined by the most inspired and courageous mystic of our age. Their conversation was about the effects of the Creating energy of all that is: life. They see life as operating in all fields of reality through a finely regulated alternation of forces of disorder and of order on the one hand, and on the other hand, the incidence of said supreme (alternating) energy on, in and through humans, individually and collectively. Or as explained in The Ways of the Spirit, a book written by one of these gentlemen, under the pen name Considerator: “The spirit is the element of transcendence, of superiority; permanence, power, freedom, interiority. of creativity, harmony, and synthesis, in every manifestation, both individual and social. 1/ (” Le Vie dello Spirito “ Considerator, p. 33)

The neurologist, pioneer in humanistic psychology (Roberto Assagioli), who necessarily focuses on the human unit, sees the role of this supreme energy from the angle of Consciousness, therefore of action (will) within the human being, and groups. In his book on the Will, he lays the foundation of humanity’s ability to play its role as a living, loving, willing Soul that co-creates society. He considers that this co-creating work, and art, depends on every individual having exercised its skill in matters of becoming conscious of the essence of his Being and of exercising his will…  This means wielding this inner supreme power in accordance with the attractive potency emanating from the Supreme Power unfolding the universe wherefrom it actually emanates (!). The Agni Yoga Teachings hint at it with the word Cosmic Magnet and indicate that the connection with this Stupendous Mystery is only activated by the individual, in the silence of his own heart, and right- relations in his daily life. Our five gentlemen seem to agree, implicitly, that this co-creating action is possible owing to similarity of nature between macrocosm and microcosm, for microcosm is the reflection of that Intelligence or Will, which encompasses it, or holds it within the ring-pass-not of its vivifying energy: LOVE.

The inspired and courageous mystic (Helena Roerich) rounds the circle of the conversation by bringing priceless gems of wisdom reminding us of the power of thought, the need to sharpen our arrows and tighten the bowstring of will so that we can consciously align with the Cosmic Magnet, the affirming “Will” (directing power) at work in the Cosmos .

This imaginary conversation is a theme-centered compilation where some quotes are arranged so as to fit into the conversational format.
